Handcrafted in Granada, Spain, using techniques dating back more than five centuries, Pomelo Casa’s terracotta ceramics are one-of-a-kind works of functional art. This serving platter features a shiny ivory glaze with a hand-painted rim and stripes radiating out from the center—we liken the effect to a platter-sized starlight mint. This 11.5-inch platter is sized for serving at holiday gatherings: Use it to show off a big roast, family-sized portions of sides (such as carrots and mashed potatoes) or a selection of holiday cookies. The glazed terracotta is both dishwasher- and microwave-safe; the unglazed base also allows the ceramic to breathe and retain heat naturally so your food stays warm (or cool, depending on serving temperature). And like all of Pomelo Casa’s offerings, no two bowls are the same due to small variations in the glaze and brushwork.
