Made from local oak wood by product designer René Otto in a joinery in Schwerte, Germany, this lovely, grooved pasta board is our secret to creating traditional pasta shapes by hand. Exclusive to Milk Street in the U.S., we tested this limited stock tool to make a variety of pastas, from simple ridged gnocchi, cavatelli and malloreddus to more rustic shapes with designs like capunti, strascinati and corzetti. And thanks to a steel rod that magnetically attaches to the back of the board, you can also roll out dough and make an array of other tubed shapes like garganelli. It’s the perfect addition to the pasta lover’s kitchen.
